2024 Homicide Tracker
The Homicide Tracker is updated after each month.

2024 ended up with 122 homicides. Not great, especially considering how slow the year began, the higher than normal totals in the second half of the year- particularly in November and December- pushed the total higher than it otherwise would’ve been. Still, 2024 ended up with the fewest homicides in the last 5 years, and represented a roughly 19% decrease from 2023 and a more than 40% decline vs the all-time year of 2021. So some progress, but more needs to be done.
